Regulating Wall Street

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are regulatory agencies already in place to regulate Wall Street. Why should new agencies be established. We don't need new agencies. What we need to do is hold those agencies accountable. If the White House or Congress want to create new laws, let them create laws that enforce the present regulations that already exist with penalties or fines on those who fail to enforce the rules.

Quoting SEN. JUDD GREGG, R - N.H.: "the suggestion that came from our side of the aisle is you raise the level of responsibility and visibility within the regulatory agencies on consumer responsibility."

This makes sense to me. Increasing the size of the Federal Government with more bureaucracy makes no sense to me WHATSOEVER!

We Need a Real Leader

Americans, Wake Up! We are headed for catastrophe! It's time for Christians and all wise citizens of this great country to become pro-active in the debate!

The Health Care Reform bill will expand government, encroach on our liberties, and will cost a TRILLION Dollars! You know who will end up paying for it - ALL OF US in TAXES! According to W. Cleon Skousen in his book 'The 5000 Year Leap', our Founding Fathers "warned against confiscatory taxation and deficit spending. [Thomas] Jefferson said it was immoral for one generation to pass on the results of its extravagance in the form of debts to the next generation."

He also pointed out that "Beginning with the era of the Great Depression, all three branches of the federal government used the climate of emergency to overstep their Constitutional authority and aggressively undertake to perform tasks not authorized by the Founders. ... the people were induced to believe that these serious aberrations of Constitutional principles would provide a shortcut to economic prosperity, thereby lifting the people out of the depression." That did not happen. The New Deal, which President Franklin D. Roosevelt effected between 1933 and 1935 was supposed to give relief to the unemployed, but the unemployment rate was higher in 1938 than it had been in 1932!

Our Founding Fathers believed that our federal government should never become involved in public welfare. More importantly, there is no Constitutional authority that allows the federal government to participate in charity or welfare. The only way our nation can prosper is to have equal protection of "rights," not equal distribution of "things" provided by the government. Redistribution of wealth by our government is absolutely UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

We should not let our federal government take over our healthcare, but rather we need to find a better way to help those in need. I believe we Americans as individuals must own up to our responsibility as a moral people and be generous to the poor. We must re-cultivate the virtue of charity. As I quote W. Cleon Skousen again, "The quality of virtue and morality in the character of a nation is the secret to its survival... The most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable people is to elect virtuous leaders."

Could Sarah Palin be that virtuous leader that we need? She is a woman of virtue, courage, integrity, faith, and real class. These things cannot be denied. Dear God, Help us elect a leader like Sarah Palin at the next election!

The Gift of Life

Do you value your own life? You should! Your life is a gift. It is something precious to be valued. Your life is a gift from God, and you are alive today because God allows it. You know you did not give yourself life. Your Mother did not give you life, although she was certainly a very big part of the process. Your Father played a very important part of that process, too, of course. You would not be here if it were not for your parents, but more importantly, you would not be here if God had not allowed it. Life is a gift from God, and no one is allowed to take that life without paying a price.

Did you know that the unborn child can hear and feel? When do you think life begins? Read what Dr. Fritz Baumgartner has to say about this subject: CLICK HERE

It is wrong to kill. Most of us accept this as a moral truth. We believe that it is wrong to kill a human being. Unfortunately, our law-makers have made an exception by allowing abortions to be legalized. They were deceived and many have been deceived into thinking that somehow the human being that is still in the mother's womb does not really count as a real human being. This deception is slowly turning our society into a "culture of death"!

If you are not Pro-Life, then you are Pro-Death. Abortion kills.

Before It's Too Late

Dear Loved One,

Before it is too late, I want to let you know something of great importance. You may already be aware of this, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts.

Not really sure about where to begin, I will just start by telling you that you are loved. You are loved so much more than you can ever imagine. This is an unconditional love, an everlasting love, and a love so intense that it can penetrate every living cell of your body and fill you up to over-flowing with eternal peace. It is a much higher form of love than mere human love. It is the divine love of the all-powerful, all-knowing, and forever present Creator of the Universe. He loves you and He wants you to allow Him into your heart.

You may feel you already know this, but please bear with me. My life has been a learning experience, and the learning goes on and on. There is so much more to know than has ever been written in all the books of the whole world. I believe every one of us has his own lessons to learn in this life, but the most important lesson of all that every one of us must learn more and more about every day of our life is just how much God loves us. No matter where you are in life, no matter what you have done, no matter who you are, God loves you. God loves you right now, as you are, where you are, and in spite of what you may have done or failed to do. He is waiting patiently every day to forgive everything. He is willing every day to fill you to over-flowing with His love. He is ready to shower you with blessings beyond your wildest dreams. You only have to ask with a humble heart and the faith of a child, and He will answer with what He knows you need.

God knows you better than you know yourself. He knows what is in your heart, what you are thinking, and He knows your needs. After all, He created you. He knows your pain. He knows your wants and desires. And best of all, He knows how and He desires to fulfill all of your needs.

He has allowed you the experiences of your life, because you have much to learn. He gave you free will in order to allow you to learn from your mistakes. God knows we will make mistakes throughout our lives. His understanding and knowledge of every little aspect of our lives is perfect. His perspective of our lives is perfectly clear. He even knows what we are feeling, and exactly how we feel.

Once when I was younger, and suffering an intense emotional hurt, the thought came to me that if God only knew what I was feeling, if He could just experience what I was going through, then He would help me and stop the pain. I thought that He should just come down to Earth and live as a human for a while, and then He would know what it is like and how we feel. Well, low and behold, I finally came to realize that He did just that. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16.

When Jesus lived on Earth among men, He experienced the emotional pains, the physical pains, and even the psychological pains that we suffer as humans. He was rejected by His own people, and rejection can certainly be emotionally painful. He was scourged, and crucified, suffering extreme physical pain. He believed he had been abandoned by God when He cried out from the cross "…MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?" Matthew 27:46. Although He had foretold His own suffering to the twelve disciples at the last supper, the torment He suffered on the cross clouded His own thinking for that moment in time. Yes, God knows how we feel. Sometimes, God allows suffering in order for us to learn something.

I needed to learn to forgive, not only to forgive others, but to forgive myself. I learned that sometimes, we cannot forgive on our own. We need God's help in order to forgive certain things. At the time when I was hurting most, I called out to Jesus in a prayer. Prior to that day, I had always prayed to God, Our Father, but never to Jesus, His Son. That day, my life began to change. I began to learn and understand a lot of things that were not clear to me before. It has been a long journey and I know I have a ways to go, but I'm not ever turning back. I know that Jesus heard my prayer that day and He lifted me to "higher ground".

Whatever you are going through in life, if you have not called on the name of Jesus for help, you are missing out. Jesus is The Answer. When many of His disciples stopped following Him because of some of His teaching, He asked His disciples: “…’You do not want to go away also, do you?’ Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.’” John 6:67-68. Again I say Jesus is The Answer. He said: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6. No matter what your need may be, Jesus Is The Answer!
